The Starting Point

I decided to document the current status of my products, what I am doing to move things forward, and how the Product Led Lab framework is helping me make decisions.

This project is a one-man show—I am the PM, UX Designer, Architect, Developer, and Marketer. To manage this complexity, I rely on a robust stack of tools including Supabase, Vercel, Umami Analytics, and AI agents like Gemini and Claude.

Product Status

Activa Fluency

Current Phase: Signal Detection

Activa Fluency aims to help language learners prepare for official exams, starting with the A1 level. The product has recently undergone a strategic pivot to focus specifically on telc exam preparation.

We are currently validating the "mastery-based progression" assumption: Does blocking advancement until an exercise is passed increase student confidence and success rates?

  • Target User: Language learners aiming for official certification (telc).
  • Recent Update (Jan 24): Refined value proposition to focus on exam readiness.

Lehr Assist

Current Phase: Problem Validation

Lehr Assist is designed for German Teachers (DaF/DaZ). The immediate challenges are ensuring GDPR compliance and finding users who deeply resonate with the problem we are solving. We are currently in the early stages of identifying the core pain points that will drive user retention.

The Framework

The framework guiding these decisions is built on three core pillars:

  1. Intent: Clear definition of what we want to achieve.
  2. Assumption: The specific hypothesis we are testing (e.g., "blocking advancement improves confidence").
  3. Exit Criteria: Pre-defined rules for when to Scale, Pivot, or Stop.

This structure allows me to remain objective and move fast, even as a solo founder.
