Building software has become easier, and I enjoy putting the pieces together, a bit like LEGO. The harder part is understanding what needs fixing and whether what we build actually helps.
I’m a Senior Product Manager who also builds software. I work from the first conversation about a problem through to designing, delivering, and maintaining the solution.
Before building, I establish a starting point: how long the work takes, how much manual effort it involves, and where errors or delays happen. The measures depend on the problem. After delivery, I measure again to see what improved and what still needs work.
I usually start with a proof of concept. It gives us something concrete to try with the people who will use it, so we can test the idea before committing to a larger project.
Some solutions run in the cloud; others run on premises. Delivery is part of the job. Keeping the software useful and reliable is part of it too.
I’m based in Berlin and work in English and Portuguese.
